As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, The LGBT Asylum Project relies on you to achieve our goal of providing accessible legal services to LGBTQ+ immigrants seeking protection in the United States. We are currently seeking donations, volunteers, partnerships, event hosts, and interns!
Volunteer
We rely on a team of dedicated volunteers to assist us in providing an array of services:

- Legal assistance
- Asylum applications and consultations
- Interpretation and translation (spoken and written)
- Fundraising and social events
- Administrative duties, marketing support, research, etc.
- Advocate on behalf of our cause on social media and in your community
- Donate professional or promotional services (such as printing, online support, event venues, food and beverage, advertising, and printing)

Internships
As a full scope immigration legal organization, we host legal interns on a semester-by-semester basis. Our interns may obtain class credit through their law school, in recognition of their internship hours.
We also host administrative, marketing, fundraising, and otherwise general internal internship positions. Our interns may obtain credit through their educational institution in recognition of their internship hours.
To be qualified for an Internship Position, one must be at least in a post-secondary education program and be 18 years or older. We accept applications on a rolling basis.
