Caroline Chouinard
Non-profit Intern, full-time Caroline is a passionate and optimistic intersectional advocate. They are an undergraduate student in Political Studies in the Columbia University & SciencesPo Dual B.A. program. Having been born and raised in the Bay Area by a French-Canadian immigrant family, she is an international participant in the fights for Gender Equality, Gender Diversity, LGBTQ+ issues, Racial Equality, and Environmental Protection among others. They are co-president of the Feminist Society and vice president of the Sexuality and Gender Association at SciencesPo Reims. When she is not talking about gender, sexuality and global warming and looking at what steps forward and backward are being made around the world, they are probably arguing about why the west coast is the best coast. Eric Strothmann
Legal Intern, full-time A Tucson, AZ native, Eric first became involved in immigration through guerrilla activism and migrant advocacy on the Arizona/Mexico border. After a ten-year stint in New York City he returned West to pursue his JD at UC Hastings College of the Law. He hopes through his legal education to synthesize radical queer activism with legal authority to create meaningful change. Eric holds a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and is a member of the UC Hastings class of 2021. |
Joshua Smith
Non-profit Intern, part-time Joshua is from California and is an undergraduate student at Tufts University in Boston. He is looking to major in Psychology and Sociology (and maybe Biology, too). Josh is thrilled to have had the opportunity to work with such a meaningful organization and hopes to continue to help make a positive impact on the lives of LGBTQ+ and asylum seeking individuals. |
